The name you choose should reflect your business name or service and must be unique to you - globally.

In choosing a name, consider whether it reflects either the name of your business or what you do. A simple test of the effectiveness of a domain name is to envision meeting someone on the street and in the course of describing your business you mention that you your website is "whatever.ca".

Will they remember that name without having to write it down? If yes, that means you have chosen an effective domain name. That is why a phrase can be as good as a name such as "igroomdogs.ca". Ensure to include the .ca as the name "igroomdogs.com" may belong to someone else. If that someone else is in your area or same line of work, it would be wise to look for a different domain name.

Know before you go

Before going live on the internet with a domain name, the name you choose must be available and then registered. You can do this yourself at www.checkdomain.com (link) or we can help you as part of the decided upon package. Once your domain has been established you can leave the rest up to us. We will register your site, host it, provide you with an email address if required, and begin the process of design and implementation as agreed upon.
